Better visibility of paintable areas

Since it isn't always obvious what you're changing the color of when you select an area to paint (and some paintable areas on vehicles are pretty small), it would be nice if selecting an area to paint (before you choose the color) would cause it to flash. Maybe it flashes repeatedly while you hold the mouse over the box that represents that area. Either that or an image showing what area I'm about to paint (like a mini-screenshot/closeup of the area). Would help with planning out painting as opposed to clicking through colors repeatedly trying to see what changed.
